الأكمام : هما اثنان مزينان بالصلبان يربطان حول المعصم وهما يرمزان ألي تمجيد يدي السيد الذي خلق البشر ويباركها الكاهن بالكف الأيمن ويردد كلام موسى الذي في سفر الخروج 15 : 16 يمينك يا رب معتزة بالقدرة ، يمينك يا رب تحطم أعدائك بكثرة عظمتك تهدم مقاومتك ويبارك الكم الأيسر ويتلو من المزمور 35 : 3 تقلد سيفك على فخذك أيها القدير واستله وانجح واملك من اجل الحق والدعة فتهديك يمينك هديا عجيبا

Sleeves: they are two which are decorated with Crosses, tied on the wrist and are a symbol of glorification of lord's hands that created human beings. The priest blesses the right sleeve while reading the words of Moses in Exodus (15:6) "Your right hand, O LORD, was majestic in power. Your right hand, O LORD, shattered the enemy" and blesses the left sleeve while reading from Psalm (35:3) "Gird your sword upon your side, O mighty one; clothe yourself with splendor and majesty. 4 In your majesty ride forth victoriously in behalf of truth, humility and righteousness; let your right hand display awesome deeds".
